Pictures and words, painting and literature: When I paint, I think of stories and when I write, I think of
pictures. Both are dear to my heart, and I have studied both with a great curiosity.
Through my art, I seek to create a dialogue with others as well as within myself.
I wish to gain access to that magical room of my fantasies, to linger there and await the visit of my
guests. This everchanging room is sometimes small, warm and full of color, then other times, vast and
cold with transparent walls enclosed by a dark sky.
There, surrounded by the tones and colors of music composed by Debussy, Ravel and Mahler, I am
met by flowing, flying, dancing human forms, who spring from the poetry and symbolism of ancient
Greek myths, the fairy tales of H.C. Andersen, or the magic in my very own life. Their thoughts and
feelings are guiding my hand.
